Denmark capital, Copenhagen stretches across two islands, with the North Sea on one side and the Baltic Sea on the other. Due to its seaside location, Copenhagen weather is relatively unstable and subject to the Atlantic Gulf Stream. Its climate is categorized as oceanic climate. Copenhagen weather in the summer is moderate as well, with sea breezes keeping the temperatures pleasant. The Gulf Stream keeps the temperature slightly warmer than in surrounding areas. High-pressure systems bring long periods of sunny, warm days to Copenhagen, and these periods can last up to ten days at a time.

Copenhagen In Fall

Copenhagen weather in the fall continues to be moderate. Severe storms are uncommon, and the region continues to get light breezes from the sea. Copenhagen is surrounding waters are warmer a little later into the year than other parts of Europe, and the water temperatures are warmer than the air temperatures from late fall into mid-December. The precipitation amounts average 56mm (2.2 in.) in December, 46mm (1.81 in.) in January, and February receives the lowest amounts at an average of 30mm (1.18 in.). Copenhagen weather in December sees only 42 hours of sunshine, and January sees only 45. By February, the number of sunshine hours per month increases to 67.
